Job Description:

A premium Australian Brand leader in the Beauty and Cosmetics is looking for a senior PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to work across the brand and its award winning three categories, colour cosmetics, tanning and skincare. This instrumental role will see you use qualitative and quantitative data to produce innovative products for Australian and international markets.

You will be is responsible for supporting and developing the marketing strategies of the development and launch of new products and existing categories. A primary function of this role will be overseeing the planning, forecasting and analysing of specifically the colour cosmetics category.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Provide direction and strategy for innovative product development across all colour, tanning and skincare

• Obtain and analyse qualitative and quantitative data to produce innovative products for Australian and international markets

• Ensure all product packaging adheres to manufacture and brand style guides

• Ensure and analyse New Product Development is cost efficient and profitable

• Create, manage and execute Portfolio Strategy: Gap assessments, Pricing Strategy

• Manage New product financial planning and volume forecasting / P&L

• Leading cross functional teams on innovation projects

• Managing timelines, budgets and processes to gain alignment on move projects from ideation to activation

• Leverages data, trends and support from internal teams to build a robust and actionable learning plan to address knowledge gaps in consumer, brand, product, business and marketplace learnings for innovation

Ideally you will have:

• 8+working in Product Development and research and development

• Tertiary degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business, Retail Merchandising, Information Services

• Demonstrable and impressive track record of achievement in revenue growth, management of budgets, developing relationships with agency and publisher partners, team building and development

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Strong analytical and organisational skills

• Exceptional project management, organisational and communication skills

• Communicates and works effectively with people at all levels both internally and externally

• An understanding of the cosmetics and general beauty industry is essential
